Map of Iona
The Isle of Iona is historically significant as the likely birthplace of the Book of Kells, a famous illuminated manuscript from the 9th century.
My focus and goal for the poster overall was to showcase use of contemporary typography, but with touches of medieval inspiration. Most notably the illustration of St. Columba (who founded the monastery in Iona) is a reference to the illustration style found in the Book of Kells.
